Product Developer (womenswear)

Tiger of Sweden Iis looking for an Product Developer for womenswear within the light woven and knit wear

If you have a passion for fashion and quality, this could be your chance to take on a new challenge. You will be responsible for the fabric sourcing and product development of products in the light woven, jersey and knit wear category’s. You will support the Product Manager for Tiger Womenswear in managing our products successfully.

Responsibilities and Tasks:
* Sourcing of womenswear light woven, jersey and knit category’s.
* Take active part in planning, building and calculating the products.
* Ensure that product and product quality meets our standards.
* Ensure that all commercial targets are met.
* Ensure that our development process is followed.
* Ensure that suppliers follow our timing schedule and our deadlines.
* Contribute to create a proactive teamwork with the design department, pattern makers and relevant production offices.
* Sample handling with a focus on quality, costing and timing.
* Create and follow up style instructions in PDM and handle other systems management
* Daily contact and negotiations with international suppliers.
* Frequent traveling to our suppliers and production offices.
* Proactive work to continuously update supplier portfolios and product quality’s.
* Ability to guide and educate buying assistants.
* Always strive for efficiency in work processes as well as product cost awareness.

You have the following required qualifications and skills:
* An academic degree within textile or similar field.
* Worked as a buyer for a minimum of three years with great knowledge and experience of women’s fashion products.
* High quality standards for yourself and for the products you are responsible for.
* You are a true professional who takes pride in your day to day work with a positive attitude, ownership and a passion for the fashion industry.
* High knowledge within fabric/yarn sourcing and fabric/yarn development and product development.
* Strong negotiation and communication skills.
* Very experienced in working with international suppliers and in an international environment.
* Excellent language skills in English.
* You are an excellent true team player.

The position is a full time position and the role is based at our head office in central Stockholm.
