Purchasing Manager at Fjällräven

We are looking to strengthen our Purchase department, by introducing a new position: purchasing manager in the organization.

In this position, you will be the operational leader for the purchasing team at Fjällräven’s headquarter, and you will report to Head of Purchase, Production and Quality. It is a full-time employment with placement in Solna.

What you’ll do
The main tasks and responsibilities are to:
* Plan and manage purchase operations.
* Lead and develop the purchasing team. Staff liability for eight persons.
* Set goals and introduce or improve processes and routines. Following up and monitoring progress.
* Ensure an efficient information flow within the purchasing department, and with other departments.
* Contribute to a proactive teamwork with the design, pattern and production department.
* Manage sourcing of new suppliers and fabrics.
* Negotiate prices of new and running styles.
* Ensure product margins are met.
* Be in charge of capacity and fabric booking.
* Analyze sales figures to enable better purchasing decisions
* On occasion accompany the purchasers when traveling to our suppliers.

Required skills and experience:
* A relevant and documented higher education degree within purchase.
* Professional experience working with textile purchasing.
* A few years of work experience managing a team.
* Thorough experience of negotiating with suppliers.
* Expertise about materials, textiles and quality.
* Advanced Excel skills
* Fluent in English - and preferably more languages.
